We are located in the town of Durham, Ontario, Canada (in the Municipality of West Grey and County of Grey). West Grey Soccer Club is a member of South West Regional Soccer Association;which is a district under Ontario Soccer Association. This program is organized and managed by volunteers.  Executive members and current volunteers of the West Grey Soccer Club (WGSC) are parents like you, volunteering to put programs in place for our children's soccer experience.

Saturday Morning Soccer

U4 teams play on Saturday mornings at 9:30 AM and U6 teams play on Saturday mornings at 9:30 AM for one hour.  They practice for approximately 25 minutes where they learn skills and get to know their teammates.  The remainder of the hour is spent playing a game against one of the other teams in the same division.  These games are just for fun.

U8 teams also play on Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  They practice for the first 30 minutes and, after a 5 minute break, participate in a game against another of our U8 teams from 10:05 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  These games are also for fun, but do have a referee and adhere to league rules (no coaches on the field, etc.).

U10

We are part of the Inter-County Soccer League that encompasses Durham, Hanover, Chatsworth, Markdale and Mount Forest & District (including Harriston and Holstein).

U10 is a mixed-gender (co-ed) team, while U12 teams are split by gender (girls / boys) if numbers allow.  This division travels and a game schedule is provided at the beginning of the season.  Not including the year-end festival, there are usually about 11 or 12 games for the season.  Approximately 50% of the games will be away games at another location in the Inter-County Soccer League.  Practices are scheduled by the coaches and are not set until after the teams are made.

U12, U15, U18 & Adult

We are part of the Lakeshore Soccer League that encompasses Durham, Hanover, Kincardine, Mount Forest, Saugeen Shores (including Port Elgin & Southampton) & Walkerton.

These teams are split by gender (girls / boys) if numbersallow.  As above, these teams are traveling teams and a game schedule is provided at the beginning of the season.  Not including the year-end festival, there are usually about 11 or 12 games for the season.  Approximately 50% of the games will be away games at another location in the Lakeshore Soccer League.  Practices are scheduled by the coaches and are not set until after the teams are made.

Please keep in mind that we are volunteers who are doing our best to make the soccer experience a fun and rewarding time for your child!
